Try being woken up after a late
night, 530 in the morning by a truck, johno
was definitely not happy. Well racing is over
and the team overall is happy with their results.
We packed up this morning and we were on the
road early to travel back to the land of the
Germans saying goodbye to the fine hospitality
of the Czechs for a couple of days.
Unlike our last car trip when
we reached the German/Czech border we had
a smooth but fairly long transition as the
officer went through ever passport stamping
and checking where we had been. Coincidently
Sam was busting to go to the toilet and had
to contain himself unlike last time.
We stopped for a lunch at Dresden
about halfway in our journey. After lunch
we were given free time to explore the historical
area of Dresden that was being re-constructed
after the devastation of World War II.
Our destination, a town called
Leipzig, where the Germans have recently constructed
a slalom course which is similar to Penrith.
The team is looking forward to paddling it
tomorrow. Today we had to settle watching
the expertise of the German national team
mastering there brand new course.
Tonight for dinner we went Mexican
enjoying enchiladas nachos and all sorts of
fine cuisine. Our accommodation is sweet and
spirits amongst the team are high as we are
all looking forward to paddling and enjoying
the final week of junior team 2007
