Day 9 was an early start, yet again, with breakfast at 730. Many of us were woken up by the jack hammering on an adjacent work site and I do not doubt that it will be any different tomorrow. After a fine breakfast of meat and bread the team made there way to the course for a great session on the eiskanal. The course was packed with local paddlers and tempers quickly turned ugly as Australian paddling etiquette differs strongly from Europeans.

After lunch some of the boys went for a swim in the third channel while some slept after a hard training session. In the afternoon the team had a fairly relaxing session again on the eiskanal which was fortunately not as crowded.

For dinner we went into Augsburg for fine german cuisine followed by a brief look at the city. At night it comes to life and is truly amazing.
